New Red Herring Version Adds Bonus Packs

The latest update of our breakout word game, Red Herring, added bonus packs for everyone, allowing players to earn a free pack with every five purchased. Currently, there are two bonus packs available: “Divertimento” unlocks when you purchase 5 puzzles packs, and “Quest” becomes available after your 10th pack. Of course, we will be adding more bonus packs when the content becomes available.

Also, the app is now available for Windows Phone 8 and Apple computers running OS 10.8 or later in addition to the original versions for iOS and Android (including Kindle Fire).

Red Herring has been an outstanding success since its May release, with over 800,000 downloads and more than 60,000 people playing each Daily Puzzle. With the new Windows Phone and Mac versions we are excited to provide even more ways for fans to have fun putting things into the right categories!

Find the new Windows Phone version in the app store here and the new Mac version in the app store here.

Red Herring App Gets Free Daily Puzzle Feature

One of the best-loved features of 7 Little Words, the free Daily Puzzle, is now available in Red Herring!

With update 1.1 rolling out to iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch), Google Play and Amazon Kindle App stores, Red Herring fans are now able to play a fresh, free puzzle each day in addition to the puzzle packs in the app.

This update also includes 2 new puzzle packs, bringing the total to 10 (500 puzzles) in the app!

Android Version Adds Key Features

The 7 Little Words 2.3 version released this week for Android (Google Play and Kindle Fire) adds some new features previously only available on iOS devices. Important additions include:

2 new color themes: now find a clean, white theme and a green-on-black night theme at the bottom of the “Settings” menu.

5 new puzzle packs: yes, new puzzles in every flavor from “very easy” to “impossible.”

UK for all: previously available only for the Daily Puzzle, players can now choose a ‘less-American’ version for any puzzle (option available in the “Settings” menu).

Accessibility support: now visually impaired players can access all features of the game with Talkback.

The new version (2.3.1) is now available on the Google Play and the Amazon Kindle Fire app stores.

7 Little Words – Now More British Than Ever

Fans outside of the U.S. have long told us that 7 Little Words is too American. While we have taken some steps to improve it in the past, including creating a UK version, we think that starting today you will see a real difference in the game.

Our Daily Puzzles are now being revised for a non-American audience by a real, live English puzzle writer and language guru, and eventually she will extend these changes to all of our puzzles.

We are excited to roll out this new, improved UK version, and we look forward to your comments on it!

Red Herring App Now Available

Red Herring, a new game from the makers of 7 Little Words, debuted successfully for iOS (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch), Android, and Kindle Fire on May 1.

Red Herring is about organizing words into categories while keeping an eye out for sneaky “red herring” words that are only in the puzzle to confuse you. A video of the game in action can be found on the www.RedHerringGame.com website.

It may be downloaded from these stores:
